A quick tip before you travel: We recommend bringing cash and plenty of small bills, as you’ll use cash for taxis, water taxis, tips, and getting around the island. 

When booking your flights, plan to fly into North Eleuthera Airport (ELH). Once you land, the trip over to Harbour Island is easy and only takes a few steps:

Airport → Water Taxi
After collecting your luggage, taxis will be waiting directly outside the airport. Let your driver know you’re heading to the water taxi for Harbour Island. The drive is only about five minutes and cash is required. 

Water Taxi → Harbour Island
Once you arrive at the dock, your luggage will be loaded onto the water taxi for you. Let the captain know you are going to Harbour Island – Dunmore Port. The boat ride is approximately 10 minutes and cash is required again. 

Dunmore Port → Your Accommodations
When you arrive on Harbour Island, taxis will be available at the dock to take you to your hotel or rental home. If you have requested for your golf cart to be at the Port, it will be there for you. 

 Simply give the driver the name of your hotel or, if you are staying in a rental home/VRBO, the name of the house. A taxi ride on the island also costs money.
